Honestly, I never planned to create coloring books. But a good friend of mine asked if I could design one—bold and easy, just the way she liked it.
The problem? Most bold and easy coloring books felt far too childish for her taste. She liked cute—but not that cute. And when it came to flower coloring books, she had one more request: she didn’t want page after page of flowers with nothing else to discover. She wanted charm. Little surprises. Tiny details that made every page feel different.
So I got to work.
Instead of drawing only flowers, I created little scenes to explore—a watering can tucked between blossoms, a bee in mid-flight, flowers climbing over a garden fence. Bold enough to be relaxing, but varied enough to keep every page interesting.
She loved it. I hope you will too.
More Than a Coloring Book
This book began with a simple thought. As a mom, I wanted to create the kind of book I would have loved to give my own daughter. A book that encourages creativity, builds confidence, and reminds young people that they don’t have to be perfect to be wonderful.
The funny thing is, I think adults often need that reminder too. We all forget sometimes that we don’t have to be perfect to be enough.
Hearing from readers who love this book has been one of the greatest rewards. I hope it brings a smile to you too.
